Even those who are not fond of cat’s will melt seeing these italian-cats.
Enjoy!
I’m registered to the daily newsletter from www.dagelijksegedachte.net. This tool sends you a daily thought every day (unfortunately, only in Dutch).
I truly felt addressed by the following one: Don’t look for happiness in a place where it destroys someone else’s happiness…
Shall I forward this one to my wife and her lover?
Mental note: don’t plan nice things when your wife is passing her exams…
Mental note 2: find a way to make yourself invisible while your wife is looking for someone to blame because her results don’t meet her expectations…
Mental note 3: enjoying life with someone who is thouroughly stressed is hard… but not impossible…
Mental note 4: don’t postpone writing posts… You feel much better after you’ve put your thoughts online…
I have to attend this meeting… I’m scheduled at 10h… It’s almost 14h and I’m still waiting for the call… Mind you, I didn’t ask for it… Last time I attended this meeting I got shout at, humiliated in front of a whole group an thouroughly mad… So I’m not really very keen to go in there…
I have a very bad relationship with one of our Managing Directors… She’s old, can’t cope with the stress, thinks of her extremely highly, is a PC-analfabet… In short: she sucks. And I’m forgetting the most important: she has a very agressive communication style. Everyone in her team just complains about it but doesn’t tell her… So one day, when she was telling me off once more (and she’s not even my boss) I just told her I didn’t appreciate being directed as if I was a dog. She replied something nasty (“You’re talking like a dog”) and then I just turned around and left before saying anything worse. She went to see our CEO (kinder garden?!) who just laughed at her… He made my day…
Anyway, now I have to attend this meeting. I planned my whole day around it and the unprofessional bitch just sent someone to ask whether I could wait another 2 hours….

It’s impossible to describe the beauty of this book.
It is an unconventional love story that centers on a man with a strange genetic disorder that causes him to unpredictably time-travel, and his wife, an artist who has to cope with his frequent absences and dangerous experiences. In this book, unlike many other time travel stories, it is not possible to change the past or future.
The book unfolds through their memories and the reader gets regular glimpses of how it might end. While the end reveals itself, I couldn’t help but pray it wouldn’t end the way it seemed.
Fantastic, it gets under your skin… I regularly reread bits and pieces…
Writer: Carlos Ruiz Zafon
A literary mystery set in 1945 Barcelona where David Sempere finds a book that will change the course of his life and throw him into a labyrinth of intrigues and buried secrets in the heart of Barcelona.
You also get a good idea of what life was like during the Civil War in Spain (1936-1939).
Take your time to read this book. It’s a beautiful, but complex story and you only grasp the meaning of everything at the end of the book.
I really loved it!
One piece of advice: read a bit about the Civil War on Wikipedia. It helps to understand a few things especially when the writer names a few known names in Spanish history that might be less known to others.
